Virginia Beach Central Lions Club
History

It all started on November 15, 2005 when a group of men and women met at the Central Library in Virginia Beach, VA with a common goal to form a new Lions Club. Lion Alton Miller and Lion Clayton Senecal, PDG guided the group through the process of selecting the initial basic officers to form the club and file with Lions International for a charter.

The Virginia Beach Central Lions Club was chartered by Lions International on November 28, 2006 with twenty new members and one transfer who was Lion Alton Miller, the founder and Guiding Lion. Within the first month five more new members joined and ten have transferred in from other clubs making a total membership of 36.

The four officers elected by the membership to form the club and apply for the charter were: Lion Alton Miller, President; Darl Anderson, Secretary, Thomas Wells, Treasurer; and Eric Boe, Membership Chairman.
